This is Part 1 of the Project Life baby brag book. See Part 2 and Part 3.
I did 3 (near) identical brag books to give as gifts to the grandparents. I am currently working on a bigger baby album for myself as well.
Since I was doing a Project Life baby album for myself, I decided I also wanted to do mini-versions of the baby album to give as gifts to the grandparents. I got the Project Life Baby Edition for Her Kit and used it for all 3 brag books and the baby album. I didn’t use any prompt cards for the brag books, only the journal cards, filler cards and some title cards, so there was enough cards for all the albums.
This is the cover. I just used a portrait of her at 1 day old shot by the hospital photographer.
For the title page, I used a pink 3 x 4 card from the Project Life Kit Baby Edition for Her. I wrote her name in English, then in Chinese, then the Chinese pronunciation in pinyin.
The 2 photos on the right are from the same photo session from day 1. The photo on the bottom left is from month 2.

This spread is about me being pregnant. I found it easier to just write directly on the photos so I didn’t have to have a bunch of arrows pointing everywhere. I just wrote how far along I was and which trimester I was in.
The 2 top photos on the left are of me during the 1st trimester 3 weeks pregnant. We actually did not know I was pregnant when we shot these photos. I used some washi tape to attach an ultrasound photo at 8 weeks and 6 days. I looked up what the size of the fetus would be for this age so that it would be easier to imagine the size. I wrote down, “size of a grape”. We had to get an initial ultrasound because we did not know when the baby as conceived.
The bottom left photo is of us at the doctor’s office, waiting to find out the sex of the baby.
The right page has photos of our second ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby. It says, “size of a bell pepper” at 18 weeks and 5 days.
On the bottom left, I accidentally cut off the number 2 in 2nd trimester when I rounded the corners. I need to remember not to write too close to the edge, otherwise it gets cut off when rounded.

Some shots from the 3rd trimester and the baby shower.
I did the same thing on the bottom right photo and cut off the 3 in 3rd trimester when I rounded the corners. Oops!

Labor and delivery.

Her first days at the hospital. She was jaundiced due to trauma during childbirth so we had to put her under glow lights.

The hospital photographer shot the baby’s portrait session just as the grandparents arrived and I am very happy that I insisted on getting a group shot with the grandparents.

Do you have photos of your Project Life baby album (whether mini or full-sized)? Please share a link in the comments below.
Might have to get them out and scrap them! I find the longer I wait, the harder it is to scrap things.
Thank-you for following my blog. I have a set of blue baby photos like those – my daughter was premature and had to go under the lights too. That was over 10 years ago and I still haven’t scrapped them!
